PathoSIM Products
PathoSIM Professional. This is a customized software for simulating the dynamics of disease spread within your environment including any or no post-effects of intervention controls such as hand hygiene, isolation precautions, vaccination or wearing of prophylactic gear. The product can be easily reconfigured by users with no formal IT training for different disease transmission parameters, social structure and host susceptibilities. The software application is delivered through the secure use of high-performance servers situated in the regional ROSS Scientific office so as to remove the requirements for heavy computing machinery at your site.
PathoSIM Developer. This is a customized software that encapsulates the simulation of a healthcare domain as a software library. A typical use of such a customized simulation engine is for the development of resource allocation applications that help in streamlining the operational procedures of the ward to maximize productivity while maintaining adequate patient care. You can choose for the library to execute in one of two ways; as a stand-alone simulation engine or with access to ROSS simulation servers which will remove the requirements for heavy computing machinery at your site. The latter requires public network access permissions.
PathoSIM Scorecard. This product is for existing customers of either PathoSIM Professional or PathoSIM Developer. It computes a normalized measure of the effect of changes in the infection control program and charts this information over time (if there are more than one update of the infection control program). Some examples of measures for optimization are: case fatality rate, epidemic duration and the average number of distinct contacts per individual role. With this measure, you can compare your organization's progress with your competitors in the industry through web-based advertisement on our PathoSIM Application Portal. Such rankings can then be used as a low cost, high impact marketing tool for endorsing the effectiveness of infection control programs at your healthcare facility.
PathoSIM ExpertKnowledge. This product is for existing customers of PathoSIM Scorecard. These customers would, in the course of time, accumulate knowledge (within the databases of ROSS Scientific) of disease transmission, host risk factors and environmental effects on how epidemic or endemic infections spread. This product will market the sale of access to this knowledge through competition to achieve higher rankings through PathoSIM Scorecard. A major portion of the profits will be channeled back to your organization as revenue. This creates an incentive for your organization to continuously improve your infection control programs through the use of ROSS Scientific services.
